The Storytellers
The Storytellers is a collaborative performance-installation by Vahideh Eisaei and Elnaz Sheshgelani developed in collaboration with vocalist Issie Hart. Drawing on rug-making, pattern singing, music, movement and storytelling. Centred around the loom as both a structure and a site of imagination, the work explores how women’s stories, memories and lived experiences can be carried through pattern, voice, body and thread. Plaited hair, woven forms and live performance come together as a meditation on connection, transformation and collective memory.
